Job Overview

The Vice President of Manufacturing will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee InfoSight’s manufacturing and engineering teams so the Company can provide the world peace of mind through innovative tracking solutions. This includes, but is not limited to, leading and coaching InfoSight’s manufacturing and engineering teams to produce the Company’s products in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner while adhering to the Company’s quality standards. The Vice President of Manufacturing will also be responsible for developing and implementing continuous process improvement and quality systems to meet current and future needs of the organization. The Vice President of Manufacturing reports to the President and is a member of InfoSight’s Senior Leadership Team.

Job Description

  • Participates as member of the Company’s Senior Leadership Team to uphold the Company’s vision and values and develop and implement InfoSight’s long-term strategic plans to continue InfoSight’s growth for the benefit of its shareholders, the Company’s employees.
  • Leads and coaches InfoSight’s engineering and manufacturing teams to produce and deliver products and services that meet or exceed customer expectations in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner while adhering to the Company’s quality standards.
  • Ensures that production meets deadlines, quality standards and budget constraints.
  • Develops, implements and maintains:
    • Standard operating procedures to manufacture InfoSight’s products in a consistent manner.
    • Safety systems to keep InfoSight’s employees and visitors safe.
    • Quality systems to ensure InfoSight’s products perform as designed.
    • Continuous process improvement systems to eliminate waste and streamline operations.
    • Preventative maintenance procedures to ensure proper functioning of InfoSight’s operations.
    • Relevant training and development plans for the teams.
  • Oversees the maintenance of all equipment, buildings and grounds.
  • Collaborates with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.
  • Proposes and, subsequent to approval, administers the departments’ operating and capital budgets.
  • Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the Senior Leadership Team as well as staff during Company-wide meetings.
  • Attends customer and supplier-facing meetings and events as requested.
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the President.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Ten or more years of relevant experience including leadership roles in manufacturing, production or operations management is essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Proficient in using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for production planning and tracking.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • In-depth knowledge of various manufacturing processes, such as lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization.
  • Demonstrates solid understanding of the principles and practices of electromechanical device manufacture and assembly.
  • Experience designing and successfully implementing quality and process improvement systems.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success.
  • Enjoys leading as well as working within a team.
  • Knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including financial metrics, cost control, budget management, customer service, production, and employee management.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines.
  • Available for occasional travel including to foreign countries.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
