Vector Polygon Tool

Vector fields are applicable only to certain InfoSight laser printer models. Vectors are burned after all marking is completed and are used to burn through certain types of materials such as flexible polyacrylic labels.

Vector Polygons are created differently than other types of fields. After selecting the tool from the palette, click and release on the layout where you want to place the starting point of the first segment. Move the mouse as needed to each additional vertex point and click. At the last vertex point, double click to end the process.

The Vector Polygon tool is used to add a vector polygon field to the layout. A layout may have an unlimited number of vector polygon fields. Once the field is added to the layout, you use the Properties Editor to change the field's properties.

Each vector polygon field is defined by several pieces of information that you must supply. This information includes:

Closed Set this property to true to have a final segment added to the polygon that automatically connects the final vertex to the starting vertex.

Tabbed Set to true to add tabs to the polygon's line segments. The size of the tabs is defined below in "Tab Size".

Tab Size The size of the tabs in inches or millimeters.

Vertices Click the Vertices button to open the Vector Polygon Vertices editor.

Vector Polygon Vertices Editor

This is a list of coordinates for each vertex (point) making up the polygon. You can edit this list as needed to fine-tune the shape. Controls are provided to Add, Insert and Delete vertices.
