LabeLase® Designer

Box Tool

The Box tool is used to add a box field to the layout. A layout may have an unlimited number of box fields. Once the field is added to the layout, you use the Properties Editor to change the field's properties.

Each box field is defined by several pieces of information that you must supply. This information includes:

Height The height of the box defines the vertical dimension in inches or millimeters.

Width The width of the box defines the horizontal dimension.

Thickness The thickness is the width of the line segments that define the box, in pixels. One pixel is the diameter of the laser spot and is dependant upon printer model.

Filled You may fill (true) the box so that it prints a solid rectangular region.

Hidden You may hide (true) or display (false) the box. Hidden boxes appear in the designer, but are not printed.

X The X coordinate of the lower left corner of the box. This field was initially filled in for you based on where you clicked the mouse.

Y The Y coordinate of the lower left corner of the box. This field was initially filled in for you based on where you clicked the mouse.
