LabeLase® Designer

Home - View

The Home tab includes a group called View that contains commands that affect the display view.

Zoom

The designer allows you to change the magnification factor of the image as you work with it. At 100% magnification the displayed image is a pixel-for-pixel representation of the image as it will be printed on the tag. The designer accomplishes this by matching the printer's pixel density with the density of the display screen.

Zoom In Enlarge the display of your layout work area up to 200% of full size by selecting Zoom In.

Zoom Out Reduce the display of your layout work area down to 10% by selecting Zoom Out.

Zoom % Change zoom factor of the work area to a specific value.

Note that any zoom factor other than 100% will result in distortion of the layout image. It is recommended that you work at 100% zoom whenever possible to minimize this distortion.

Orientation

The orientation of the display will not necessarily match that of the final tag layout. While it is possible to design a tag layout that is rotated 90 degrees, for example, from the final printed image, it can be difficult to work with this arrangement. The designer allows you to change the orientation of the displayed tag image by 90 degrees to make the task easier.

Portrait Change the orientation of the work area to "portrait" to view the layout rotated 90 degrees. In this orientation the Y axis is at the top and the left/right depiction of the tag is the "width" of the tag.

Landscape View the work area in "landscape" or normal orientation. In this orientation the X axis is along the top and the left-right depiction of the tag corresponds to the "length" of the tag.

In either orientation a small arrow is shown on the background to indicate the direction of motion when the tag is feeding through the printer (applicable to some printer models.)
