Communications : Extended Protocol

All of InfoSight's marking system products communicate to the outside world via a serial RS232 comm. link. InfoSight has developed a simple, reliable and effective communications protocol to facilitate links to customer's host computers and other equipment. This data sheet provides a thorough description of the Extended Protocol.

Two simulation utility programs (Windows 9x, NT, 2000) for the Extended Protocol are available for download.

KE2700 InfoTag® Communication

This data sheet provides a description of the data communications format for the KE2700 InfoTag® laser tag printing system. This printer uses the InfoSight Extended Protocol to send and receive data. This document describes the message types and data format for each type.

KE28xx InfoTag® Communications - Firmware Version 3.X, Version 4.x, Version 5.x

These data sheets provide a description of the data communications format for the KE28xx (2800, 2852, 2853, 2856, 2872, 2876) InfoTag® laser tag printers.   These printers use the InfoSight Extended Protocol to send and receive data.   The documents describe the message types and data format for each type.   To determine the firmware version number in your printer, select the General Menu - About menu item using the Operator Interface Terminal.

I-Dent ® Marker Communication
